For more than 26 years, I've had the privilege of doing what I truly love: caring for hair and helping people feel confident in who they are.

I'm an award-winning stylist and have spent 18 years educating other beauty professionals. But before the titles, awards, and years of experience, I was simply a woman who fell in love with hair. And honestly, I still love it just as much today.

I love looking at someone's hair and seeing its possibilities. I love discovering what each curl needs, watching a style come together, and witnessing the moment a client looks in the mirror and says, "I love my hair." That feeling never gets old.

Curly and textured hair has always fascinated me. There is so much beauty in its curls, coils, shapes, movement, and personality.

I also understand that learning how to care for textured hair can sometimes feel overwhelming. With countless products, techniques, opinions, and so-called rules, it's easy to wonder whether you're doing something wrong. I don't believe it has to be that complicated. I believe your hair begins to make sense when you truly understand it.

That's why I'm passionate about helping women understand and embrace their natural texture instead of constantly fighting it or trying to make it something it was never meant to be. I bring that same purpose to my work with stylists. I want every professional I teach to approach textured hair with knowledge, confidence, and the ability to say, "I know exactly what I'm doing."

Education became an important part of my journey, and after 18 years as an educator, I can honestly say that I love teaching just as much as I love styling. There's nothing like watching someone go from "I don't know how to do this" to "Now I understand." That transformation is what keeps me inspired.

Throughout my career, I've met many talented stylists who simply needed more education, hands-on practice, and someone who believed in their potential. I've seen firsthand how confidence can completely change the way a stylist shows up behind the chair. That's why I created my educational work: to share what I've learned, make textured hair easier to understand, and help stylists become more knowledgeable and confident in their craft.

At this point in my career, I know my work is about much more than hair. It's about confidence. It's about helping a woman see her natural hair in a new and beautiful way. It's about helping a new stylist believe that she truly can become exceptional at what she does.

And it's about sharing more than two decades of knowledge so that what I've learned doesn't stop with me. I want to share it. I want to teach it. I want to help someone else grow from it. Most of all, I want to leave this industry knowing that I made a meaningful difference.
